A housewife and two of her infant sons were killed when a microbus spun off the Ujanishar bridge in Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila and fell into a canal early on Sunday.
Fire service official Mohammed Walliullah at Brahmanbaria said that three dead bodies were recovered from the canal after the accident.
The victims were identified as Rubina Begum (25) and her seven year old twins 'Nirab' and 'Sourav',
They were returning to their home in Tiara village of Nabinagar Upazila from Mirpur in Dhaka for Eid.
Rubina's husband Hanif Mia told bdnews24.com that the bus fell into the canal around 6am in the morning.
"I and two other passengers could wriggle out of the bus but my wife and the two sons were trapped."
Hanif Mia claimed a sleepy driver lost control of the bus and that caused the accident.
